at the top of this ravine?
Found at http://home.alc.co.jp/db/owa/PH_detail?photo_sn_in=855.
My commentary: You’re looking up at a thicket from below in a ravine. A bare thicket. Is it winter? Or is the thicket a symbol of death or near-death? The buzzard has the observational advantage. But why are you looking at him? What has happened in the ravine? Why is the buzzard there instead of somewhere else? Is some animal down? Meanwhile the buzzard bides his time, waiting until he’s good and ready to make his move. He may be hungry, but he doesn’t show it.
Worldviews are sometimes like that.
